林彪说：“毛委员曾说过，我们这支队伍，虽不是世界上最强大的队伍，但不管是这个军阀，还是那个土匪，只要有枪，就有地盘，就有一块地盘，就有一块天下，我们红军也有枪，也能坐天下。”

教员与朱德、陈毅过来，听到林彪的话就问：“那个娃娃是谁呀？”

陈毅说：“他就是在耒阳城打了胜仗的林彪。”

教员最爱能打仗的人，当时最缺能打仗之人。教员就拉着林彪的手说：“你的话讲得很好啊！”

听到毛委员夸奖，林彪立马行个军礼：“报告毛委员，我叫林彪。”
