据动物园工作人员刘茂俊介绍，关于“豹警官”如何减肥，他们咨询了业界很多专家，得到的结论都是，这只金钱豹年龄太大了，没必要折腾，安享晚年就好。

“这只金钱豹今年十六七岁了，相当于人类七八十岁，它每天吃三斤半精牛肉，有时候兔肉和鸡肉换着吃，我们咨询了很多专家，这是标准的配比。此外，园方还会定期给豹子体检，只要它健康快乐就好，至于减肥，只能随缘了。”刘茂俊说。

今年3月27日，该动物园对豹馆进行了扩容，拆除了豹馆与隔壁馆舍之间的围栏和钢丝网，“豹警官”的馆舍面积增至45平方米，活动场地扩大为原来的两倍，住进“一室一厅的‘大房子’”。

5月17日上午，记者在黑熊馆看到，“耐克熊”多了一个小伙伴，这是只母熊，之前一直在休养生息，最近才放出来。吃过早餐，两只熊在水里尽情嬉戏，兴致好的时候，“耐克熊”坐直身体，向游客招手打招呼，高兴的时候，还会转几个圈圈。

刘茂俊介绍，熊是杂食性动物，每天吃玉米粑粑、水果、蔬菜等，都是符合规定的饮食。

“园里的动物都是老朋友了，养了十几年，特别有感情。每天上班都要来看看这些老伙计，心里才踏实。希望它们平安快乐，安享晚年。”刘茂俊笑呵呵地说。

攀枝花公园位于炳草岗景石山下，有英雄纪念碑、苏铁园、动物园等。目前，动物园有猛兽区、草食动物区、鸟语林三个观赏区，有金钱豹、黑熊、狮子、羊驼、孔雀等20余种130多只动物。
